About Foxy3DPrints

Who are we?

Foxy3DPrints is a small family-run business based in the UK, specialising in the design and manufacture of high-quality 3D printed carpentry tools and door jigs. Our practical, robust, and easy-to-use tools help both DIY enthusiasts and professional carpenters save time and achieve consistent, repeatable professional results on every job.

3D printing allows for complex, innovative designs that are difficult or impossible to produce cost-effectively with traditional CNC or laser-cut metal/wooden jigs. Features like integrated adjustable sliders and depth sets make our door hinge jigs, tubular latch jigs, and lock jigs far more versatile and precise, while keeping them lightweight and affordable.

Using the Jigs

Are your router jigs compatible with all routers, and what bit sizes work best?
Yes – we design our door hinge router jigs, tubular latch jigs, and lock jigs to work perfectly with basic, affordable ¼-inch routers, without needing expensive features. This keeps entry costs low for DIY users. For optimal performance, we generally recommend a 12.7mm (½”) diameter flush trim cutter with a 9.5mm cutting length (specific recommendations are listed on each product page)

Our popular 3D printed door jigs include the Tubular Pro – a fully adjustable tubular latch jig for new doors – the Sashlock Pro, a larger lock jig designed to fit most bathroom locks, sash locks, and deadlocks, and the Dual Size Hinge Jig, which handles both 76x51mm and 102x76mm hinges in one tool. We also offer slimline hinge jigs and other router jigs for door hardware and lock installations. Browse our shop for the full range of carpentry door jigs and lock jigs – we’re constantly innovating new designs.

Yes – all our door hinge jigs, latch jigs, and lock jigs are easily scalable to fit different sizes of hinges, locks, or other hardware. If you need a custom 3D printed jig for specific door installation or lock fitting needs, simply get in touch and we’ll create a bespoke model for you.
Yes – detailed usage instructions and video guides are available for most of our 3D printed router jigs and carpentry tools. You’ll find them directly on the individual product pages or on our dedicated instructions/video section.

Product Quality & Materials

What material are your 3D printed jigs made from, and are they strong enough for professional use?
All our router jigs, door hinge jigs, and lock jigs are 3D printed in tough PETG filament, a durable engineering-grade material that offers significantly higher impact resistance, strength, and temperature tolerance than standard PLA (which can soften in a hot car or under heavy use). We use larger nozzles and optimised print settings to create much thicker walls than most other 3D printed tools. Wall thickness is the key factor in part strength – our jigs are built to withstand regular professional workshop use. All nuts, bolts, and washers are made from A2 stainless steel for excellent strength and rust resistance.
Our regularly calibrated 3D printers achieve motion accuracy down to 50 microns (thinner than a human hair). We account for PETG material shrinkage during design, so our adjustable hinge jigs, tubular latch router jigs, and lock jigs deliver precise, repeatable results for clean, professional door installations every time.
Our door hinge jigs and router jigs are designed to fit correctly straight from the box, so modification is rarely needed. Light sanding or filing (up to 1mm) is possible if required, but for best results we recommend contacting us for a custom-sized version – we can quickly print an exact match for your hardware.

Ordering, Shipping & Support

How do I care for or clean my 3D printed jig?
Our PETG door jigs and carpentry tools need minimal maintenance. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth after use to keep them in excellent condition for years.
Yes – we make replacement parts available at low cost. If you damage a small part of a hinge jig, latch jig, or lock jig, you can order just the part you need instead of buying a whole new tool.
Most orders for our 3D printed door jigs are dispatched the next working day. Standard UK delivery usually takes 2–3 working days. Express delivery is available for just £2.99 (1–2 days) and receives dispatch priority – often same day where possible.
